The 700APD Power Drive is a portable, pneumatic-motor-driven, heavy-duty power drive which provides power for threading pipe and conduit up to 2" (50 mm) where electric shock or sparks from an electric tool are hazardous. It uses Reed R12+ Segmental Dies and Dropheads or Ridgid® brand 12R dies and dropheads. Also, the 700APD power drive can be used to power tapping and drilling machines by adding a Reed Power Drive Adapter. The 700APD comes with a safety arm to absorbs the forces generated when threading. This frees up the operator to oil the dies during threading. The 700APD has a 4 horsepower pneumatic motor, turns at 28 rpm no load and provides a pneumatic forward/neutral/reverse valve and dead man switch. Reed’s 700APD has a maximum torque of 400 lb-ft. NOTE: Always use a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) with Reed pneumatic tools. Reed offers FRL #97591 for user convenience.
