When installed, it provides safe outlet water temperature for the faucet it is connected to. The Cash Acme model 25687 is within the HeatGuard 135 series lead-free thermostatic mixing valves, specifically designed for individual faucets -including electronic faucets. The series also features a robust design in a compact size, and a rapid response thermostat element for superior control and reaction time, even under changing flows, pressure, and temperature fluctuation. It provides stable flow at rates as low as .25 gpm and also reduces flow to a trickle in the event of a failed cold water outlet flow. The valve features a threaded cover over a spindle mechanism which comes with a special tool which is needed to adjust the temperature. The valve inlets and outlet connections are standard 3/8″ supply line compression connections for use with 3/8″ OD tube. Can be used with Sharkbite 1/4-inch fittings and stops. Adj. outlet temperature range: 100 – 120oF (38-49oC). Includes the mounting bracket, hardware, and serviceable inlet strainer screens.
